Kamila Polívková (born 1975, Brno – Czech Republic)
Award-winning author of numerous costume and stage designs, theatre director. Studied scenography at JAMU (Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts); has worked as a costume designer and scenographer for the Goose on a String Theatre in Brno, the Municipal Theatre in Zlín, the Petr Bezruč Theatre in Ostrava, the National Theatre in Brno and Prague, and at other theatres. Since 2005, she has regularly collaborated with director Dušan D. Pařízek on productions in German-speaking countries (Deutsches Theater Berlin, Staatsschauspiel Dresden, Residenztheater München, and the Schauspielhaus Hamburg and Zürich). In 2009, she made her directorial debut at the Divadlo Komedie with Heroes Like Us; she is currently the in-house director at Studio Hrdinů. Her work has been nominated for the Alfréd Radok Award (Talent of the Year and Scenography). Her costumes for Jan Hřebejk's film Garbage, the City and Death were nominated for the 2012 Czech Lion awards.
Marek Cpin (born 1979, Nitra – Slovakia)
A scenographer and artist, Cpin works in theatre, film and television. He studied scenography at JAMU; immediately following graduation, he began to work for theatres throughout the Czech Republic, from Cheb to Ostrava. He and director Jan Mikulášek have formed a creative team that currently calls the Theatre on the Balustrade its home. He has been twice nominated for the Alfréd Radok award in the category of Scenography of the Year, and received a Czech Lion nomination for his costumes for the film Delight. He also works with and creates designs for lifestyle magazines and fashion and jewelry brands.
Lucia Škandíková (born 1984, Bojnice – Slovakia)
Scenographer, costume designer, and artist Škandíková is co-founder of the group “V pozadí" (“In the Background"), which focuses on documentary theatre. She studied costume and mask under professor Jana Zbořilová at DAMU (Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague), and frequently collaborates with theatre directors Daniel Špinar, Veronika Riedlbauchová, and Matija Solce. As scenographer, she has worked on numerous productions throughout the Czech Republic (Hamlet at the Švanda Theatre, Valmont at Brno's Reduta Theatre, The Taming of the Shrew at the Summer Shakespeare Festival, and Morgiana at the Klicpera Theatre in Hradec Králové).
Antonín Šilar (born 1986, Prague – Czech Republic)
Theatre scenographer, costume designer, and illustrator. Studied scenography under professor Matásek at DAMU, where he is currently working on his doctorate degree. Šilar is interested in the phenomenon of new media in theatre. As a theatre scenographer, he works primarily with director Petra Tejnorová (New Stage of the National Theatre, Dejvice Theatre), and has also contributed to projects in Helsinki, at Berlin's HAU, and in the United States. He is a member of Vienna-based art group DieGruppe, and also works as a cinema designer and illustrator.
Dragan Stojčevski (born 1979, Pančevo – Serbia) exhibition design
Studied scenography under professor Jan Dušek at DAMU, where he is currently studying for his doctorate degree. In addition, he also studied briefly under Vladimír Kokolia at Prague's Academy of Fine Arts (AVU). In addition to doing theatre scenography, he has also created numerous installations and artistic interventions in public space. He is also intensively involved in the creation of site-specific projects, often in collaboration with the art group Mamapapa, both in the Czech Republic and abroad. His projects have been realized at archeological sites, in museums, in abandoned industrial areas, and in rural environments.
