SpaceLab is the educational component of the Prague Quadrennial 2015 and the SharedSpace: Music Weather Politics 2013 – 2016 multi annual European project. SpaceLab once again creates opportunities for theatre/performance students and young professionals to meet directly with top professionals in the performance design field. After four years, Jessica Bowles returns to Prague as the Artistic Leader of SpaceLab.
SpaceLab is divided into two sections: SpaceLab Workshops and Zlomvaz Festival Performances.

SpaceLab is organized by the Prague Quadrennial in cooperation with students from YORK University in Toronto (YORKU), Theatre School at DePaul University in Chicago (DePaul), The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London (RCSSD) and Theatre Faculty of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (DAMU). The main goal of the SpaceLab project is to initiate the international experimental interaction and personal exchange between theatre and visual academies.

Zlomvaz festival is theatre festival organized by and dedicated to students. This time, Zlomvaz festival is part of the Prague Quadrennial 2015. It consists of student Street Performances and DISK performances that were chosen among 400 applications received.

The official festival program will be completed with concerts and DJs at SpaceLab OFF Stage at Cihlená 4 and a bar on the roof of DISK Theatre.
This year's SpaceLab OFF ten-days-long programme occuppies an unutilised building in the centre of Prague at Vltava riverbank. The venue neighbouring the outdoor club (Cihelná 4) also serves as the meeting point and an entirely particular exhibition space for Prague Quadriennale. Evenings, music: shooting through the new radical wave of Czech independent scene that lists over thirty items - from post-rave electro, live coding, shoegaze, post rock and noise, to electro cabaret with ukulele.
The PQ_privat room complex prepared by the stage designers of Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre DAMU transforms the building into a unique interactive installation. Through the atmosphere of a creative, multi-branched, vivacious and futuristically aimed post-squat Zlomvaz & PQ create a totally extraordinary event of cultural entertainment in Prague 2015.
