The Prague Quadrennial offers individual countries and regions, but also individuals, the chance to present their work as part of national expositions as well as individually curated projects.
The main sections at PQ – the Section of Countries and Regions and the Student Section – are only open to each country's official curator. Each country or region names a national curator and/or organizing institution that is responsible for organizing, financing, and artistically supervising the country's PQ exposition. Countries' applications to this section are not subject to curatorial review by PQ; all are accepted.
The curator of the Czech exposition is named on the basis of a tender announced by the Czech Ministry of Culture.
PQ '15 offered individuals many new ways of becoming involved.
PQ 2015 published calls for applications for individual artists, students, curators and theatre professionals to submit their works to PQ 2015's experimental projects.
All information on current calls for applications is regularly sent by newsletter and published on www.pq.cz and Facebook.
