SWEET/SWEET/SWEET– “Nebeský Festival"
Sections of Countries and Regions
Theatre director and performance designer Jan Nebeský is one of the major personalities of the Czech theatre scene. Performance designer Jana Preková and her team have decided to pay homage to this maker in a very original way. For eleven days during the Prague Quadrennial, the Piazzeta of the National Theatre will be transformed into the venue for the “Nebeský Festival", a project also entitled SWEET/SWEET/SWEET.
The live stage will include creative installations by artists such as Igor Korpacewski, Margita Titlová-Ylovsky, Tomáš Ruller, Michal Pěchouček, Vladimír Kokolia, Jan Štěpánek, Jana Preková, Petra Vlachynská and Ivana Kanhauserová. The production 'Sweet', which will be put on as part of the festival, will feature the participation of leading Czech artists and musicians who have collaborated with Nebeský for many years, including David Prachař, Saša Rašilov, Karel Dobrý, Lucie Trmíková, Petra Lustigová, Kateřina Winterová, Petra Špalková, Alois Švehlík, Miloslav Mejzlík, Miloslav Konig, Jiří Černý, Igor Chmela, Martin Dohnal, Milan Svoboda, Emil Viklický, Pavel Fajt, Jan Šikl and others.
The festival will also include Fresh Tresh, an accompanying program featuring young artists and activists in the public space, who will complete the atmosphere of the Piazzeta as a pulsating venue. During SWEET/SWEET/SWEET there will also be a public presentation of the archive of Nebeský's works in cooperation with the Theatre Institute.

In 2013 the Tygr v Tísni company celebrated success with its GOLEM production. This adaptation of the mystical detective novel by writer Gustav Meyrink was presented in the form of immersion theatre, involving the audience in the creation of the story.
The GOLEM Cube project presents GOLEM in a new form: a multimedia polyekran installation located inside a cube. “This installation conveys a condensed experience of a theatre production, while at the same time adding whole new qualities, primarily through the use of camera perspectives. By transferring the play into film form, presented in a simple cube with four projections, the viewer is given the opportunity to follow both the dramatic situation as a whole and the most refined gestures by actors and details of scenery. At the same time the installation is an original record of the atmosphere, space, acting performances and performance design of the original production," write the creators of GOLEM Cube.
The GOLEM Cube project will run at the Vila Štvanice during the PQ 2015.
