The PERFORMING PRAGUE 2015 festival, organized by the Arts and Theatre Institute, is conceived as an evening event to complement the 13th edition of the Prague Quadrennial (PQ). The basic mission of the festival is to present the most interesting projects from Czech theatre and dance from recent seasons to PQ'15 visitors . During the eleven days of the festival over sixty productions will be shown, all of which will either have no language barriers or will have titles in English. Performing Prague will introduce audiences to renowned Prague companies such as the Theatre on the Balustrade or Theatre Archa, as well as to spaces not primarily intended for theatre, such as the garages of the National Theatre or the Czech Museum of Music. No less diverse is the range of genres on offer: audiences will see contemporary dance, puppets, physical theatre, multimedia projects, opera and site-specific productions. We recommend that visitors book tickets in advance – for example, the Alfred ve dvoře Theatre will put on performances for a single viewer, and overnight accommodation is provided as part of the performance at MeetFactory…
