The exhibition will be held at the Cervantes Institute in Prague and is only one part of Spain's presence at the PQ'15.
Over the last five years, staging has taken on a central role in contemporary Spanish theatre. The search for new ways of telling stories has led the creators to investigate and develop visual solutions to support their creative ideas, and their proposals reflect the artistic evolution that is taking place in Spain today.
This exhibition, promoted by the institutions that are organising the Spanish pavilion and on display for the first time at the Instituto Cervantes in Prague, is a cultural landmark that complements the official programme of Spanish activities at PQ15. It aims to give an idea, to professionals and to anyone interested in theatrical and musical design, of the current state of stage design in Spain by bringing together in an attractive way almost six hundred productions that have been seen for the first time over the last five years in Spain.
After the exhibition closes in Prague, it will return to Spain to be set up in the town of Almagro within the framework of the 38th edition of the International Festival of Classical Theatre. In the month of September, it will open in Madrid at the Teatro Valle Inclán, home of the Centro Dramático Nacional. It will then travel around a number of other Spanish and European cities.
