As a part of the Prague Quadrennial programme, the Victoria and Albert Museum is presenting its very first immersive video installation about the Glastonbury Festival. This is the world premiere of an exhibition consisting of video archives from this legendary festival within a captivating multimedia installation. The installation explores the ethos of what is the world's largest performing arts festival held outdoors in green fields. It presents the complex aspects of its design – architectural, geographical, economical, ecological, and above all, social— showing this performing arts event as an ultimate shared space. The exhibition includes an as-of-yet unscreened footage filmed in Glastonbury in 2014.
The exhibition opened on May 27 and runs through June 28 in Jaroslav Fragner Gallery.
