Watch out! Your peaceful Sunday afternoon walk can be suddenly disturbed by a group of hunched old men in shiny superman costumes. Massimo Furlan's (FR) Tribe of “Blue Tired Heroes" personified by seniors from the Elpida Center, feels as if it has emerged from some twisted dream.

Massimo Furlan often works from childhood memories, as an Italian child born in Switzerland in the '60s, and reaches out to the collective psyche, the memory of a whole generation, by combining images and performance, burlesque and philosophy, poetics and popular aesthetics. He recalls models, dreams, and anecdotes from his childhood and his adolescence and develops a language that addresses the question of memory, through popular culture.
