Official Call for Artists: Canada Invites the World to Share their [Private] Space at PQ2015
The Canada PQ2015 exhibition concept lies around a common and quintessentially human experience: the outhouse. Seven outhouses will be installed within a baroque-period ballroom at the Clam-Gallas Palace. Six outhouses will each showcase a single production, and will become a private theatre for an individual viewer.

In addition to the six outhouses showcasing Canadian designers, a seventh will be present in the space. This empty outhouse is our invitation to the world; a space within the Canadian exhibition to mount an exhibition, create an installation or mount a performance on select dates during the PQ.
The Empty Outhouse will change daily. Dates available to the international PQ community are:
June 20, 21, 22, 23, 25, 26, 27 & 28.
Participation is simple and will be organized in an ad-hoc manner, on the ground, in Prague.
The guidelines are as follows:
-Interested artists are to meet members of the Canadian team outside the main entrance to the Clam Gallas Palace on the dates listed above, at 9:30am.
-Proposals should be exciting, innovative and compelling; show us something marvelous!
-Proposals will be considered from the first three individuals or groups in line. Our choice will be made promptly on the spot and will be final. If your project is not chosen, you are welcome to try again the next day.
-You must be able to set up and strike in a short amount of time.
-Your project must be contained WITHIN the outhouse – modification to the exterior is not possible.
-The interior is dark, unfinished plywood, contains one 60W bare-bulb and has one 220v electrical outlet (power use may be limited).
-You may use whatever means you like to attach things to the interior (screws, staples, tape) provided it is safe, does not damage the structure, and you can remove it at the end of the day.
-The rough interior dimensions are 1.1M deep x 1M wide x 2.1M tall. There is enough room for one person to entre at a time.
-Weight is a serious issue and you may not exceed a static load of more than 20kgs.

As this is an international initiative, artists from Canada and Quebec are not eligible.
