Prague Quadrennial 2015 Bookshop
By Performance Books
Prague Quadrennial will once again host bookshop by Performance Books. The bookshop will be stationed at Colloredo-Mansfeld Palace. The stock will include latest scenography books, publications nominated for the PQ 2015 Publication Award, catalogues and books connected to the Prague Quadrennial as well as other important theatre and performance books. The bookshop will provide shipping around the world.
Performance Books is the Centre for Performance Research's bookshop for theatre and performance related books, journals and DVDs.
It stocks a wide range of publications on historical and contemporary performance theory and practice, dance, scenography, stagecraft, costume design and puppetry. This specialist store is expert in sourcing publications that are not easily available in book shops: imports; illustrated books; texts in other languages; monographs on individual artists or performance companies and experiments in performance documentation, writing and publishing.
Performance Books also curates unique 'pop-up' bookshops for theatre and performance events from small conferences to large scale international gatherings such as the Prague Quadrennial.
“CPR's bookshop at the Prague Quadrennial 2011 was an important addition to the event. It provided a unique possibility for visitors from all over the world to find, browse and buy theatre, performance, architecture and scenography books, visitors had the opportunity to bring some of the knowledge home in the form of books. The stock of CPR is wide and inspirational for theatre makers and the staff are very knowledgeable about the stock."
Sodja Lotker, Artistic Director of Prague Quadrennial
